Why can we not speed in?
If we can grow old
Why can we not grow young?
Why is this logical dichotomy
So paradoxical and disorienting?
When will the Ion engines of thought
Prevail?

You can speed out, and you can speed in. You can accelerate outwards + you can accelerate towards earth (gravity).
You lose speed outwards (upwards) unless you have more power, and you can decelerate inwards (downwards) with ‘parachutes’
